Gone are the days when your days were marked by boredom. Now, with the return of Overwatch League tokens, you know how to spend your leisure time. No time is lost as you watch.
The game is built in such a way that it keeps a record of your watching time. For example, if you watch for 40 minutes now, you can watch it later for 20 minutes. Your minutes will add up to make an hour worth of tokens. So, it’s a win-win situation for you.
If you can access the Overwatch League website or are using their app, you are halfway there. Other people use the mobile site to access the game. Note that you must be in the countries or territories that are eligible for tokens. Am I talking your language? If yes, stick around, and let’s dig deeper into how you can get yourself these free tokens.
First of all, to qualify for Overwatch League tokens, you must be located in their eligible territories. You can read more about the eligible countries here.
To qualify for it, you must be 13 years old and above at the time of registration. Minors (which vary according to countries) should get consent from their parents or guardians.
To be eligible, you must open an account with Blizzard Entertainment. It should be in good standing with all terms and conditions of the Promotion. Blizzard accounts are free of charge, so let no one cheat you into paying for one. You can access a Blizzard account at https://us.battle.net/login/en/.
It would be best if you had either a computer, PlayStation, mobile phone, or Xbox to enjoy this process. To play, you must have reliable internet to access the website.
If your internet is unreliable, then consider downloading the app, but still, you’ll need some form of connection. Internet interruptions might reduce if you are using an updated mobile app.

Steps to Qualify for the Promotion
First, open an account with Blizzard Entertainment. Log in to your Blizzard account. The only platforms recognizable are the Overwatch League app and Overwatchleague.com. Your account should be on one of these platforms.
If it’s a promotional time, view a live match for the specified time. For every one hour of live stream match that you watch, you gain five tokens. You don’t need to buy anything, enter draws, or take part in any other competition to get the tokens.
If you follow the above steps, you automatically enter the Promotion. If you don’t want the tokens, log out of your Blizzard account before watching a live game.
Notification for Tokens
When an applicable match has ended, it takes the sponsors 48 hours to award tokens to the people that earned them. The tokens are allocated to these people’s Blizzard accounts.
It is advisable to attach your PlayStation 4 and Xbox One (in case that’s what you are using) account to your Blizzard account. Otherwise, the sponsors will keep your tokens for you until you get an Overwatch game connected to your Blizzard account.
They are virtual items that you can redeem for Overwatch League-related items. They are non-transferable, have no cash value, and cannot be exchanged or traded for anything. They only work in the Overwatch League games. In case your tokens expire before redemption, they cannot be replaced.
With the Promotion that started on May 22nd, 2020, and ends on December 31st, 2021, this is the time to accumulate your tokens. If you haven’t opened a Blizzard account, you are missing out.
Go to their website, create a free account, and watch any game during this promotion time. Automatically, you enter the Promotion if you first login into your account before watching a game.
